What kinds of things do you send with a newborn to daycare/babysitters?

Please pardon my ignorance. I am 32 weeks pregnant with my first baby and really have no idea what I’m doing. But I am going to be a working mom so I’m starting to get my childcare plans in order. My daughter will be 8 weeks when I go back to work, and she will be watched by a close friend who is a stay at home mom to 2 older children (toddlers, not school aged yet). And I am wondering what sorts of things I am going to need to send with her. Obviously the diaper bag full of extra clothes, diapers, wipes, formula, bottles, etc. But what about something for her to sleep in? Do I need to take over one of those sleeper/play pen things? It doesn’t seem like her carseat would be acceptable, since she’ll still be sleeping most of the day…

Your question is not stupid at all! Being a 1st time Mom myself – tons of questions run through your mind during your pregnancy. They will sound silly after but right now I bet you are freaking out! lol You will need her daily necessities. If she has a bassinet she likes to sleep in maybe take it & leave there for the week or buy an extra for her place? Although babies grow out of those very quickly. It depends what you are comfortable with. Your baby can sleep on her couch while she’s watching her, play pen w/ an attached bassinet is also ok, in her bed… Congrats & good luck!
