Am I making a big deal out of nothing?

I went away for about a month to live with a different family and I met a really nice guy at their youth group. We have been talking a lot and I really like him. Well one of my best friends came over the day I got back, and we got online to put on some pics, and he was on and messaged me. She started flipping out because he was sooo hott, she’s what I call a text whore….she doesn’t sleep around, but she talks to every guy and tends to date like 6 guys at a time.
Anyway she started to complain about her douche bag boyfriend to him, so that he would start feeling sorry for her, and it worked. I asked her to please not add him or get his number, but she got his number anyway, and then got onto her boyfriend’s profile and added him from there thinking I wouldn’t notice.
I kind of feel like it was way shallow of her to choose this guy she doesn’t even know over respecting my request.
Am I overreacting? Is it a big deal?

It’s not a real big deal but it is an indication of her character.
